BRARA General Membership Meeting minutes for 11-July-2023
The BRARA monthly association meeting was held via Zoom conference. The meeting was called to order by the President, Bruce KO4XL at 7:15pm local. Attending: 22 Zoom participants. Officers and directors provided an update of their club related activities. Tonight’s speaker is Sammy Hadi, from the National Weather Service in Miami.

The A/C in the Shack has been replaced. Thanks to all who donated and enabled BRARA to do this quickly.

Mike reported that the June minutes have been uploaded to the BRARA Blog. Motion to accept Jay S N2ELG, seconded byLou K4LA. Motion carried. New members Chris Maltese W4LUC and Aurora Figueiredo WD4AGF. Currently have 188 members.

Worked with Bruce to build an I5 machine for the Shack to replace a failing one. We need more radio stuff for the fall auction.
Membership Chairman: Henry WA2ROA
We currently have around 30 signed up for the lunch 7/29 at Mama Mias. Planning to try a Columbian restaurant in August. Henry has a copy of the proclamation from the County for Amateur Radio Week.
Miscellaneous Discussion:
Bruce reported that the FD submission has not yet been completed. He plans to get it out before the deadline.
Mike announced that the Platinum Coast ARS will be holding an in-person class in safe tower climbing in August. Bruce suggested putting it on groups.io.
