BRARA General Membership Meeting minutes for 6-June-2023
The BRARA monthly association meeting was held via Zoom conference. The meeting was called to order by the President, Bruce KO4XL at 7:15pm local. Attending: 26 Zoom participants. Officers and directors provided an update of their club related activities. Tonight’s speaker is Lou Alfonso K4LA, with a presentation on his Antarctic trip this year.

We are working on resolving the issues with the A/C in the Shack. It is 12 years old and has been having problems for a while. Ron Ratoff has offered to help with the BRARA website.

I’ve been working with Ralph creating a list of items for the next auction. I’m also working with Bruce to set up another computer. It needs a power supply.
Secretary: Mike K8BQ
Mike reported that the May minutes have been uploaded to the BRARA Blog. Motion to accept Jay S N2ELG, seconded by Jeff S K4BH. Motion carried. New members Larry Handwerger N2LH and Stanley Lieberman. 177 members. Bruce mentioned that we are looking for volunteers to run the Monday Night VHF and monthly Simplex nets.

Hurricane season is here. Make sure your equipment is ready. ARES and RACES needs volunteers. Gold Coast testing is the 3rd Saturday at 10am. Location is the 1st Christian Church of Wilton Manors.

Art and Barry repaired the donated amplifier. Hasn’t been tested yet. Art and Mike went up to the repeater

Fiberglass tube completes the cross arm for the satellite station. Mike reported the APRS radio is out of the repeater site. Also measured reflected power of main antenna.
