BRARA minutes for 01-February-2022
The BRARA monthly association meeting was held via Zoom conference. The meeting was called to order by the President KO4XL at 7:16 pm local. Attending: 31 Zoom participants. Each attendee checked in with name, call, and location. Officers and directors provided an update of their club related activities.

John reminded the members of the upcoming simplex exercise this Saturday. The March speaker will be Patrick Bolan KJ7ZSU taking about the Geochron 4K System. Renewals are in progress.

We have upgraded the security cameras at the Shack. We have a new upgraded recorder and several cameras in the Shack. If you use the Shack be sure that it is secure when you leave. Lights off, thermostat set to 78, equipment off, antennas grounded, all doors locked, and all gates locked.

Minutes for the January meeting have been added to the BRARA Blog. Motion to accept January minutes made by Jeff S K4BH seconded by Jay S N2ELG. Motion carried.
Treasurer: Bonnie KC2JVS
Bonnie provided a financial update for January. January expenses were $278 which include one year renewal of hot spot, repairs and upgrades to computers for stations 1 and 3, a weather sensor, bronze wool to seal cable entries, and parts to complete the computer in the VHF room.

We need a different gate lock for the County gate at the park entrance. The one we currently use is almost impossible to remove to open the gate. Identified first aid kit which Bruce will order. Looking for help to complete the satellite tower erection and install rotors, etc. VHF contest operation with Rick K1DS resulted in around 160 contacts and 13K points.

Set up a couple of desktop systems working with Bruce. Installed Windows 10 and SSDs.

Issued one key in January. Will buy a shorter lock for the gate.

We had a work party to declutter the Shack yesterday. You can reserve time slots to operate on line.

Working on Winterfest. Will be involved in the Miami Marathon
