BRARA minutes for 05-October-2021
The BRARA monthly association meeting was held via Zoom conference. The meeting was called to order by the President KO4XL at 7:16 pm local. Attending: 30 Zoom participants. Each attendee checked in with name call and location. Officers and directors provided an update of their club related activities.

Bruce reported that the refrigerator in the Shack is scheduled for repair tomorrow (10/6). The remainder of the antique radios are going to the museum at the S FL Fairgrounds. Jamboree on the Air is the weekend of October 15-17. Sam Wilfond WS4BSA is organizing it and is looking for participants.
Secretary: Mike K8BQ
Mike reported that the minutes for the September meeting are on the web site. Lou K4LA made a motion to accept the minutes as posted, seconded by John N1QFH. The motion carried. Mike reminded the members that renewals for the 2022 membership year opened on October 1.
Treasurer: Bonnie KC2JVS
Bonnie presented the Treasurer’s report for the month of September 2021. September expenses included the electric bill and the club purchase of a used grill for the Shack.
Director at Large: John N1QFH
John showed where the PayPal links for renewal could be found on the website and how to use them. He suggested sending out a meeting link a few hours before the scheduled general meeting. He will keep running the monthly Simplex Exercise. Last week’s exercise had participants that were heard on 80, 40, and 10 meters, but they couldn’t hear station 3 in the Shack. He has added a new section to the web site on DMR Hot Topics.

Jeff attended a meeting of the Coral Springs Charter School STEM club. He invited them to attend our Radiator Grille.

Please RSVP for the Radiator Grille to be held October 23 from 11 until 2. Please RSVP to RadiatorGrille@brara.org. Volunteers are needed to help with this event.

We need to get the AED before the Radiator Grille if possible. It would be nice to hold it later to give snow birds a chance to return and attend.

Lou reported that the Board finalized conflict of interest and privacy policies. They should be on the website.
