BRARA General Membership Meeting minutes for 4-April-2023
The BRARA monthly association meeting was held via Zoom conference. The meeting was called to order by the President, Bruce KO4XL at 7:17pm local. Attending: 27 Zoom participants. Officers and directors provided an update of their club related activities. Tonight’s speaker is Stu Gallant, K3RZB with a presentation on digital modes.

Ralph and Jay put together the list of items for the next auction. Last items have been added. Auction will be limited to 1.5 to 2 hours. Let Bruce know if you are interested in specific items.

Getting set up for the auction. Speakers have been lined up. A couple of slots are still open.
Director at Large: George WA2VNV
Didn’t get email reminder for the meeting. Freon he ordered was shipped to his NY address, he had to get it reshipped back down to Florida. Coax and rotor cable for the satellite station are in the storeroom. Still need to look at cable to crank up the tower to make sure it is good. Seem to be some coverage issues with the repeater. Connector for APRS has been added to plug into the discone at the Shack.

Invite has not been sent yet, but April 22 will be lunch at Lucille’s BBQ in the Delray Marketplace.
Barry KO4FBU
Barry has been working on various projects. He will be fixing the workbench. A/C repairman is coming tomorrow to look at the Shack A/C unit to quote repair/replacement. Barry has also sent pictures to another company to get a replacement quote. Rick K1DS has been working on the satellite antennas. The new paving looks good. We should stay off it until at least next Wednesday.

Mike reported that the March minutes have been uploaded to the BRARA Blog. Motion to accept Jay S N2ELG, seconded by George WA2VNV. Motion carried. New members Alan Lisler NT4AL.

Expenses include $172.89 for rotor repair parts, $162.11 for Constant Contact subscription, $120 for hot spot subscription renewal, $226.76 for quarterly electric bill, $584.44 to DX Engineering and $89.00 for A/C service

Lou says be careful around electricity. Remember we do have a defibrillator in the Shack. You can find instructions on YouTube. Our defibrillator will tell you how to use it. You still need to know basic CPR.
FL QSO Party
Bruce noted that we are planning a club entry for the FL QSO party. We have a signup sheet online for operators. Please sign up even if for only an hour.
