BRARA General Meeting minutes for 6-Dec-2022
The BRARA monthly association meeting was held via Zoom conference. The meeting was called to order by the President, Bruce KO4XL at 7:179pm local. Attending: 27 Zoom participants. Officers and directors provided an update of their club related activities. Members had the opportunity to provide a brief update of their activities. Tonight’s speaker is Bruce, KO4XL with an update on using the BRARA groups.io tool.

Bruce reviewed the BRARA groups.io email tool and gave tips for using it more efficiently at the end of the meeting.

Minutes for the November general meeting have been posted on the BRARA Blog. Motion to accept the November minutes John C N1QFH. Second Jay S N2ELG. Motion carried. Currently at 186 members for 2022. New members for November; Jules Stein KB3AFH, Robert Tomsik KN4OIF.

Expenses include $759.95 at Costco and Publix for food, ice, paper plates, $13.91 at Party City for tablecloths, $22.76 for name badges and office supplies, $78.47 for trash can, $48.93 at Home Depot for miscellaneous bug repellent and cleaning supplies for shack, and $202 for one year post office box rental
Not included in expenses is $1500 for new duplexer for 2 meter repeater previously ordered, checks not cleared for $20.83 for gfci outlet for outside shack and $316.01 for electricity from 9/01/22 through 11/30/22, and shipping and repair of rotor (cost to be determined)

Lou commented that the Auction went well. He has been working with Henry WA2ROA and John N1QFH to develop a poll for the membership about BRARA.
Vice President: Ralph W1DAR
Ralph is going to weigh the packed rotor and get it ready to ship.
Director at Large: George WA2VNV
George climbed the tower and looked at the rotor. He feels the best approach to change out the rotor is to tilt over the tower. CATS will install a connector and plate on our donated rotor with an estimated cost of $350 with s/h. The duplexer is in Florida and will be picked up by Art WA8VSJ. He will try to get the satellite group together in January.

The Auction went well. Now need to clean up the Shack and arrange things to make the storage closet more accessible.

John went through features on the web site. Pointed out the Winter FD signup form. South FL ARES net meets on 3940 at 7:45 am. The club needs a new Net Control for the Monday net. Contact John if interested.

Henry WA2ROA is working on a membership poll to go out later this month or early January. He is planning a holiday lunch on December 17 at Sabai Thai at 1 pm. Please RSVP. Thanks to Lou and John for helping him with the poll.
