BRARA General Membership Meeting minutes for 3 June 2025
The BRARA monthly association meeting was held in person and using Zoom conference. There were 10 attending via Zoom and 19 in the library. The meeting was called to order by BRARA President Ralph Mele W1DAR at 6:31 pm local, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. We then went around the room and Zoom to give first time attendees a chance to introduce themselves. Our speaker this month is Patrick Bolen KJ7ZSU. He will give a presentation about the history of Geochron and features of the current product.

Ralph noted that we had received sufficient donations to purchase the KPA4000 that we had been considering. Ralph made a motion that BRARA purchase a KPA1500 solid state amplifier from Ed, KE2EF for $4000. The motion was seconded by Barry, KO4FBU and passed.

Barry reported the landscaping was pretty much completed. The County has replaced the damaged boards on the picnic tables by the Shack.

Mike has posted the May General Meeting minutes to the BRARA Blog. Ralph W1DAR made a motion to accept the minutes seconded by Ed KB2SI. Motion was carried. It was reported that the 2 meter repeater did not work well during the County drill the end of May. The repeater will be checked out when we go to look at the DMR connectivity.

Sam WS4BSA – Scouts are getting a Retevis GMRS repeater. They are cleaning up the towers that BRARA donated.
