Please be advised that West Delray Regional Park (WDRP)has been selected as a test kit distribution site for Friday, January 7, 2022 & Saturday January 8, 2022. It is highly recommended that you refrain from park use until after 3PM each day as the lines are expected to be long.
Please be advised that if you get stuck in the test kit distribution line staff cannot assist you in getting out. Thank you in advance for your time and cooperation regarding this community health initiative.

AED AT SHACK
Thanks to the Board of Directors, our new AED has arrived and installed at the shack. We are hoping Jeff.S K4BH will give us all a brief overview.
STATION-4: FT-897
Station-4 is in the VHF/UHF room on the north facing desk. It has a FT-897 setup sitting to the left of the secured AMARS station (CLICK FMI). A B-Square Terminated Folded Dipole (CLICK FMI) is available. It remains disconnected and requires no tuner.
If any operator wants to use the FT-897, they may connect the B-Square TFD to the FT-897 jumper coax and operate. Please no AMPS and only run 100 watt limit. When done, please disconnect the B-Square TFD.
The B-Square TFD is 124ft located at approx. 45 feet on the VHF/UHF tower with legs going east-west about 15ft off the ground.
A new year with new challenges. If you ever considered becoming a certified MARS operator, this may be the opportunity for you. Please contact John.C N1QFH email wirehead52@gmail.com.
