JANUARY 6 BRARA GENERAL MEETING

Our BRARA monthly meeting will take place January 6th in person at the West Boca Branch of The Palm Beach County Library as well as on Zoom. People arrive in person between 6:00 – 6:30 PM and Zoom chat opens about 6:00 PM. The business portion of the meeting starts at 6:30 PM and the presentation begins around 7:00 PM. Our January speaker will be ARRL Southeastern Division Director Mickey Baker N4MB. Mickey’s talk will be about “The Future of Amateur Radio” with an examination of ongoing trends and how we all can help ensure continuation of the amateur radio service and attract new participants.

Mickey Baker, N4MB, has been a licensed amateur since 1970, when he was awarded the Novice call sign WN4PPI. He was later WB4PPI and KC4ZU, and has been continuously  licensed for 55 years. Mickey has served on the ARRL Board of Directors since 2020, representing the Southeastern Division and lives in Palm Beach County, west of Jupiter.
